« The Eddie » est un prestigieux concours de surf invitational de grosses vagues, nommé en l'honneur du légendaire Eddie Aikau. Aikau, un sauveteur et surfeur intrépide de la North Shore d'Oahu, est devenu célèbre pour son audace à poursuivre les plus grosses houles et affronter les vagues les plus dangereuses. La cérémonie d'ouverture de cette saison aura lieu à Waimea Bay le 7 décembre 2024, marquant officiellement le début de la période du concours.
