The third stop of the Rip Curl GromSearch took place in France at Seignosse, France. This competition brought more than 120 athletes from 12 to 16 years old, mostly from the region. This weekend, rather sunny with difficult conditions, was punctuated by rough waves for our young athletes. However, they did not retreat against this stormy sea and managed to surf with very promising results!
Nicolas Paulet stood out in the cadet category (under 16) with a score of 11.06 which earned him the first place on the podium followed closely by Kepa Housset-Ezponda with a score of 10.4! Then in third position Luan Nogues (9,36) which comes straight from the Basque Country and finally in the last position, Neil Aboufiras (9,13)!
As for the girls, the competition was also tough with Nahia Milhau who won the first place with a score of 15.6 against Juliette Lacome who came in second place with a result of 14.83. Hina Conradi, native from Reunion Island, comes third and Uxue Dominguez fourth!
Given the level of surfing observed, and this for all categories, we expect no less from these young surfers for the next step in Anglet between July 10 and 16! At the same time, this competition will run during the surf film festival and will inspire our young athletes for the competition! No doubt.
