Designed with surfers and beach lovers in mind, Rip Curl’s new Run Swim Surf collection is a fresh take on activewear. A new addition to the Rip Curl family, the Run Swim Surf collection features functional activewear designs with thoughtful details like handy stash pockets, moisture wicking material, compression fabrics and more. Each piece has been designed to work across multiple functions from the land to the water, so you can go from your pre-surf warm up to catching waves in the lineup without skipping a beat.
“We wanted to create a product designed to meet the everyday needs of our athletes and active customers, while maintaining a connection to the ocean and surf,” says Tara Doyle, Rip Curl Senior Designer. “We have so many great and innovative options for the active customer within the water, from E7 in wetsuits to Mirage Ultimate Swimwear, but once you are on land our offering was limited – which is why we have created the Run Swim Surf.”
The collection is grounded by Rip Curl’s Compression 5-way stretch fabric. Extremely lightweight, this fabric will dry quickly and has excellent compression properties that flex and support your body as you move.
Alongside stash and side pockets in shorts and pants, and seamless constructions that offer support and encourage movement, Rip Curl has also made sure to incorporate other technical properties throughout the collection. Fabrics throughout Run Swim Surf are not just sweat wicking and quick dry, but also feature lightweight water repellent technology to keep you on the move.
“Another really exciting innovation in the Run Swim Surf range is our VaporCool fabric that we have infused with Aloe Vera,” continues Tara. “We all know how soothing Aloe Vera can be after a day at the beach, so we worked with our product development team on incorporating this into some pieces within the range. These styles are great to wear while training, but also wonderful for recovery as the Aloe Vera is activated while you’re wearing it.”
