Rip Curl Europe SAS (RCS DAX B 332.899.731), Rip Curl Group Pty Ltd (ACN 068 999 520) and its related bodies corporate (collectively referred to as "Rip Curl" and individually referred to as a "Rip Curl entity", or as “we”) are committed to respecting the privacy of any personal information it obtains. Rip Curl's European entities are subject to the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and any law locally applicable.

Personal Information means information relating to an identifiable User. An identifiable User is an individual who can be identified, directly or indirectly, based upon the information collected about the individual in the context of a Rip Curl entity providing a Service to them. The term Service applies to any Rip Curl website, application, service or tool (collectively “Services”) where this Privacy Policy and Disclosure Statement is referenced, regardless of how you access or use them, including through mobile devices. The term User applies to individuals that have utilized a Service provided by a Rip Curl entity.

This Privacy Policy and Disclosure Statement explains how we obtain personal information from you, how we use that information and how we protect the privacy of your personal information under the GDPR. It also sets out the matters, which we are required to disclose to individuals under the GDPR. The principles set out in this Rip Curl Privacy Policy and Disclosure Statement will apply to any personal information you provide to Rip Curl and to information, which we collect about you from other sources..

Where possible we will deal with you anonymously. If we do require your personal information, we generally collect it directly from you, and make you aware of the legal basis on which we are acquiring it. Rip Curl collects personal information for a variety of purposes including the following:

• to recipients that provide an adequate level of protection when processing User information (for instance by entering into contracts based on the model clauses for the transfer of EU User information to processors or controllers established in third countries published by the European Commission).

The contact details below are applicable to the Rip Curl Europe entity. All Rip Curl entities are aware of and are committed to the Rip Curl privacy Policy and Disclosure Statement. Some Rip Curl entities are located outside of Europe, but this policy applies to all personal information collected from you by any Rip Curl entity. Where applicable law is more protective than this Privacy Policy, Rip Curl entities will process User information in accordance with the applicable law. If applicable law provides for a lower level of protection, the guidelines of this Privacy Policy shall apply.

Access to your personal information

If you request (by contacting our Privacy Officer on the details included in this Policy), we will provide you with access to the personal information we hold about you. We will deal with your request in a reasonable time. Note that we may recover from you any reasonable cost of providing you with access. Before providing such information we may need to take measures to verify your identity.

If we refuse to provide you with access to the information, we will provide you with reasons for the refusal and inform you of your right to complain to the competent Data Protection Authority and/or to introduce a legal claim to the relevant jurisdiction.
