Rip Curl Is Proud To Announce The Release Of Its Surf Collective Capsule
At the beginning of 2022, Rip Curl signed two all-female partnerships, one with the “Women + Waves” organisation in England, and the other with the “Bande de Surfeuses” association in France. Since 2017, these two entities have been riding the same wave, encouraging girls and women to take to the water all year round, come rain or shine!
The Rip Curl Europe designers took inspiration from these partnerships to design a capsule of super stylish and fun products made of eco-cotton and fleece. This Surf Collective collection was created at the Hossegor design office, with input from both surfing associations. “
We had great fun designing this mini-collection, taking inspiration from the 90s styles that we particularly love at Rip Curl, as used for our Surf Revival collection each season. We combined bright colours with organic quality materials, and used logos with the Bold rounded font typical of this period. The women loved the concept and I cannot wait to see the reaction of women surfers”, explains Valérie Weiser, a designer at Rip Curl Women.
The Surf Collective collection will be on sale in England, France and Portugal from 20 August (list of points of sale below). The shop windows will put the creators of these associations in the spotlight with a display showing an image of the association members around the founders dressed in the colours of the Surf Collective collection.
