Rip Curl GromSearch France: Results from the Lacanau Stop

In messy waves and strong southerly winds, France’s best groms managed to stand out.

Initially scheduled for late August, the French stop of the European GromSearch tour was held on Sunday, October 19th in Lacanau. Despite the challenging conditions, the under-16 surfers showed great determination, all aiming for a spot in the European Final, set for October 22–23 in Hossegor.

Organized by the Gironde Departmental Surf Committee, the Lacanau Surf Club, and the French Surfing Federation, this event was the final stop of the European tour before the European Final and the International Grand Final, also taking place in Hossegor from November 4th to 8th. The world’s top 16 groms will battle it out there for the championship title.
