RIP CURL MUSIC FESTIVAL AT BIARRITZ & BIDART
After a very successful edition in 2008 (30 000 spectators on 2 nights), Rip Curl and the cities of Biarritz and Bidart are ready to host on the 21st and 22nd of August the 4th edition of the Rip Curl Music Festival. It’s on the the Ilbarritz beach that we will find between 12 000 and 15 000 people in front of the sea and the feet into the sand in order to enjoy the 2 free nights gigs a 100% « Music » and where all tendancies of the surf lifestyle are grouped together (pop, rock, reggae, electro). An eco friendly event with a strengthened device on the 2008 event : - The automatic cleaning of the site by the audience and the city services at the end of each night. - The use of returnable and reusable glasses. - Implementation of free shuttles by the STAB services from 7 PM until 2 AM, and intensification of buses from 12 to 2 AM (departure from Biarritz city center and Aguilera Stadium) - Implementation of shuttles between Hossegor and the gig site, Ilbarritz beach at Bidart/Biarritz.

The Rip Curl Music Festival is completing the Rip Curl Pro Junior 3*, the most prestigious european surf competition for the under 21 and which will take place on the waves of Seignosse-Hossegor in the Landes.
